Early Identification
Community professionals play such an important role in the lives of people impacted by eating disorders. It's often professionals such as GPs, teachers and sporting coaches who identify that someone may be experiencing an eating disorder. Early intervention is recognised as key to improving outcomes for people experiencing eating disorders. That's why it's important for professionals to know the warning signs and appropriate course of action to take*. All health professionals have a role in identifying and responding to eating disorders, and some will have a role in providing treatment.
